In wind absorbed like summer rain,
We walk through forest green,
Where the weathered lineage falls,
Fruit of the future tree.
Off in the distance two bluebirds fly,
Sweet melodies they sing,
Rainbow over the bubbling brook,
I wouldn't change a thing.
Hands gently clasped, the crackle of twigs,
Beneath our feet do fall.
And the love we've waited for,
Its moment comes to call.
A moment cast in happiness,
A seed for you and me,
Planted now in such sweet taste,
Fruit of the future tree.
'neath the colours of a perfect sky,
Our touch of warmth and grace,
First smiling kiss a gentle caress,
Lips sweetest to the taste.
Our hearts are filled with love and hope,
No one else can take away.
We pray to Him to guide us through,
And help us stay this way.
Where the weathered lineage falls,
Fruit of the future tree.
In wind absorbed like summer rain,
We walk through forest green.

Hi Michelle,
I just changed my format to this one. Not sure if I like it. Check it out please.
That was so beautiful, tender and carries the undertones of a classic. A pleasure to read. Thumbs up!
A truly awesome poem, written by an awesome lady. She is my friend and a very real angel that walks among us.
Wow! I consider it a classic, with heartfelt words and passionate thoughts. Thumbs up!
A beautiful piece Michelle. The words are softening and soothing to me.
